‌The dark narrow staircase leads us into deeper darkness, and at the end of the dark passage, there is a door. The door, which is too dark to pass through, narrow as you walk in, and contain uncomfortable feeling in twisted diagonal lines, is the first frontier in the exhibition to suggest a "Choice": “look and turn around” or “enter the space”.
In the strange space which you can face by “Choice” from the “boundary line”, Kim Yun-kyung reflect Dante’s ‘Divine Comedy’ as a background of space storytelling a song for pilgrimage to the brightest light in the deepest darkness. Then, as the first "Choice" and boundary that humans overlay their bodies, she set ‘clothes’ as a motif for storytelling and details the space.
Just as human life always continues its journey in the line of desire and choice opposite the boundary behind it, every conversation in this room originates from the 'boundary’ that it encounters in every corner of the journey. The ‘clothes’ as a ‘boundary’, are the most personal choices, and distinguish and connect one and the outside at the same time and visualize the epic towards the ultimate point in space throughout the desire and joy of life, the death of the flesh and the desire for permanency, and crime & punishment.
Kim Yun-kyung's sculpture space 《Wearing Space》 created by adding layers of texture to the space, leads us to a high pitch, low pitch, sharp and dull flow, just like a symphony performance by a huge orchestra. Because the human being is infinitely weak, yet the irresistible desire to achieve the goal, this space enlightens the value of journey and present time that you must go through many aspects of “life”.
